As a child and into my teens, I was always drawing. I even went on to study drafting/design in my first attempt at college but some soul searching led me to decide that that just wasn't what I wanted to do for a living. Within a year or so after quitting school, I became too critical of my efforts and just gave up drawing altogether. I've recently picked my pencils back up and I hope that you'll join me on my journey back into the wonderful world of art!
My chosen medium is graphite, of course - it's my first love - but I have dabbled in colored pencil, ink, pastels, and digital work (PhotoShop). I've recently began adding charcoal and carbon pencils to my drawings in order to combat the dreaded "graphite shine" that is unavoidable while going dark with graphite alone (anyone that tells you different is just, plain wrong). This also allows me to achieve a true black in my drawings - another possibility that is impractical, at best, with graphite alone.
